Music Box Cafe
You’ll recall that Elmwood lost his liquor license due to a preponderance of barroom brawls, and decided to re-tool his old scary tavern in a more genteel framework. While visiting a neighboring diner that had those miniature booth-side jukeboxes, he hit on the idea of offering his customers a “music box” menu instead of a wine menu. Thus, the Rustic Roost, closed by the authorities, has reopened as Elmwood’s Music Box Café.
Let’s review a few of the delectable items on Elmwood’s new bill of fare, which we’ll be pairing with his personal collection of historical music boxes, flute clocks, player piano rolls - and a jukebox in the corner, exclusively stocked with songs about music boxes.
