Trial of Mr Wind
The wind: is he a good neighbor or a reckless criminal?
His vandalism rap sheet is growing infinitely long. He tears the doors off hinges, rips siding from homes and throws them in the neighbor’s yard. He sands the paint right off of our domiciles. He enjoys tearing off shingles and causing roof leaks. And that’s during a mild year.
The truth of the matter is, we can complain all we want, but we are irrelevant to the wind’s relentless agenda of swirling around the globe. He can ride roughshod over us, but we can’t lasso him in or put him in handcuffs or make him stay in the police wagon.
So today we are putting the wind on trial in absentia.
